They are not only rescue dogs, but also really good dogs. A dog's temperament is the most important to us, and for a truly good dog we'll work really hard to find a home, regardless of the dog's looks. We are also very happy to provide detailed info about a dog's temperament and behavior to the best of our knowledge, and like to keep in touch with adoptive families following adoption.
Every single dog rescued from a tragic life and adopted into a good loving forever home represents a triumph of kindness and compassion.

It is actually very easy to adopt or foster a stray dog from Ploiesti!
Step 1: First, please have a look at our dogs and puppies for adoption. In case you'd like to find out more information about a dog, or if you'd like to see videos of the animal, please let us know and we're happy to provide you with them. Write us for more information at sterilizariploiesti (at) yahoo (dot) com.
Step 2: In case you have decided you want to adopt or foster a dog, please contact us for an interview. We'd like to meet you and find out more about you, because we want to ensure your selected dog is a perfect match for you. Having happy ever after adoptions is our goal.
Step 3: An adult dog can be ready to travel in an little as 3 weeks, the time it takes for preparation procedures. However, waiting times for a puppy can range. A puppy is only allowed to leave Romania when it's at least 4 months old. In the meantime, while you wait, we can send you pictures and updates about your dog.
Step 4: An adoption or foster contract will be signed by you and Romanian Stray Dogs Ploiesti. The adoption fee will cover preparation and transportation costs of your animal to you. The animal comes de-wormed and fully vaccinated, microchipped and with a European passport. Unless the animal is too young, it has already been sterilized.
Step 5: Your dog will come to you most likely by plane. We're happy to provide a collar and leash for him.
Currently most of our adoptions take place in Holland, a country where we have a solid network of trusted friends. To us it's the most important thing in the world for our rescue dogs for which we work so hard to end up with the best families possible.
